Over the past few days, I’ve been really grateful for the messages of support from members who want to keep strong Chain of Responsibility laws in Australia. I’ve actually had blokes walk up to me at truckstops and saleyards to tell me how bad it would be if COR was trashed.
Now here’s the good news: if we stand strong, we will win this fight.
We’ve done this before. We know how to fight, and we know how to win.
But we don’t have much time.
There’s just 55 days left for us to save Chain of Responsibility.
To win this fight, we need to be stronger and better organised than we ever have been before.
And that means, I need YOUR HELP.
Next week, we’re taking this to a new level.
Next week, I’m going to be asking YOU to stand up and be counted.
I am going to ask you, and every mate you’ve got, to make it clear just how much our industry wants and needs an effective Chain of Responsibility.
I want your help to show Premier Newman that the people who are out on the road, and the families who really care about the bloke behind the wheel, want to keep a strong and effective Chain of Responsibility.
We need to show Campbell Newman that WE are counting on him to protect Chain of Responsibility from the people who are looking to tear it down.
