Privacy Policy

Who we are
The Australian Livestock & Rural Transporters Association (ALRTA, Level 3/25 National Circuit, Forrest ACT 2603) is the peak body representing rural road transport businesses across Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through alrta.org.au, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
The personal information this website collects is what you choose to send us through our enquiry and membership forms, such as your name, email address, phone number, business details and the content of your message. Our hosting provider also keeps short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running reliably.
Forms and HubSpot
The forms on this website are provided by HubSpot and submissions are delivered into ALRTA’s customer relationship system, which HubSpot operates on our behalf. We use your details to respond to your enquiry, process membership expressions of interest and, where you have asked for it, send you our news updates. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics (Vercel Analytics) to understand aggregate visitor numbers. It does not identify you and does not track you across other sites. The embedded HubSpot forms may set their own cookies to make the forms work; these are governed by HubSpot’s privacy policy.
Who else sees it
Your information passes through the service providers that run this website: our hosting platform (Vercel) and HubSpot, which processes form submissions and our news content. These providers process the data only to provide those services. Beyond that, we disclose personal information only where the law requires it.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing office@alrta.org.au or calling 02 6247 5434. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
