Effluent Code of Practice
The Effluent Code is a practical guide that assists livestock transporters and off-road parties to comply with their primary duty and other duties under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL). It describes the controls that parties in the Chain of Responsibility can implement to minimise the risk of livestock effluent spillage in transit.

MLA Transport Hub
The Transport Hub, hosted online by Meat and Livestock Australia, is an in-depth source of information for everything the red meat supply chain needs to know to responsibly prepare livestock for road transport.
Developed in collaboration with TruckSafe board members and ALRTA members, representing experienced livestock transport operators, and other industry stakeholders, the MLA Transport Hub focuses on preparation for transport and loading practices that reduce animal stress and increase safety.
By working together to achieve best practice in livestock transport, we can improve animal welfare, OH&S and road safety, to support the sustainability of the livestock industry.

Ramp Standard
Developed by Standards Australia in 2020 with input from a diverse steering committee, the Australian Standard for livestock loading ramps provides essential guidelines for equipment design, vehicle access, and traffic flow, ensuring consistency across the country.

Ramp Guide
In July 2015, the Australian Livestock and Rural Transporters Association (ALRTA) published a national Guide for Safe Design of Livestock Loading Ramps and Forcing Yards.
The voluntary guide promotes safer workplaces for people in contact with livestock loading facilities and improves animal welfare outcomes.
